A place-based academic high school program for students replacing their classroom-based school for a semester

A high school semester program for students seeking a place-based academic experience, replacing their regular school. CityTERM students will master traditional academic disciplines (History, English, Science, Math, Art, Foreign Language) by exploring critical topics and current policy questions in New York City through project-based work.

 

CityTERM will provide academic credit accepted by the student’s sending school, and students will re-enter at the same grade level as their peers. Engaging in both virtual and field-based activities, students will pursue both a collective and personalized course of study. Students will leave with a portfolio of work and a recommendation usable for college and future employment.
